About Us
Menominee Area Credit Union was founded in 1954 and was originally known as M&M Constructors Credit Union. Like many credit unions of that era, it was started in someone’s basement. Membership at that time was limited to employees of L.E. Jones Company. In 1989, M&M Constructors merged with Menominee Employees Credit Union and became Menominee Area Credit Union. Throughout the years, it has moved to many locations to accommodate the growing membership.
We're now accepting and welcoming new members. If you live, work or worship in Menominee County Michigan or Marinette County Wisconsin, stop in and meet us!
Today we have a membership base of close to 1700. Our assets have reached over the seven million mark.
In 2010 we were voted the number one credit union in the area.
Our success can be contributed to our friendly, knowledgeable staff and board of directors, our low interest rates on consumer loans, a variety of deposit accounts, minimal fees in comparison to other financial institutions, and putting our member’s welfare first.
Other great features of Menominee Area Credit Union are our convenient business hours, great location, online banking, ATM/Debit cards, payroll deduction, and most important, we are not too big that we don’t know all our customers. We would love you to become part of our credit union family so come and check us out.
